This yellow DW-6900H-9 G-Shock was released in 1995. I don't think it's ever been considered a limited edition, but it's quite unique. The striking yellow is contrasted with black details on the band and bezel; there's a spider and skull, along with the text "G-SHOCK is dedicated to the soul foot in motion". No one seems to know quite what that means, but I guess that's part of the allure of this watch. It contains a 1289 module, and mine is stamped Malaysia H. This model also has the "FOX FIRE" text printed across the bottom of the face. All these details come together to make a mighty fine G-Shock.
The only real complaint I have about this model is the plastic buckle. It's very sturdy, but it's thicker than the standard metal one found on most G-Shocks. So, it makes it takes more effort to put the watch on and take it off. The black plastic does match the other black features though, so it's definitely complementary to the appearance.
Here's some photos to help you get more acquainted with this classic 90's G-Shock.

Hi Riley,
The yellow DW-6900-9H is a great watch. I believe it was my 6th G-Shock, which I bought from a Dutch actress/singer. The watch is sold in large (and I mean LARGE) numbers in Germany. It is known there as "Taxidriver". You still find them from time to time in auctions there and you can pick up a used one cheap. Sometimes in vry good condition. Also my brother is a proud owner of this watch.
I actually like the plastic buckle. I find it comfortable. The only problem is that stamp machines can crush them in an envelope. It happened to me once on it's red brother, the DW-6900H-4
Thanks Sjors. I really like this one too. I did notice after looking at the photos that it's a bit dirty from wearing it around. So, I gave it a good washing after the photo shoot.
