The classic G-Shock models are built tough, but occasionally the LCD can become mis-aligned after opening one up, leaving a crooked display. This issue seems to occur mostly on the 901 and 240 modules. G-Artistic has posted a simple guide to fix the problem. The usual cause for the LCD to be depressed on the right is an issue with the buzzer electrode part on that side. A little double-sided tape seems to do the trick to get the LCD back to being nice and flush with the watch face.
