Casio announced another new model at Baselworld 2009. The MRG-8100G features Tough MVT and Multiband 6. It also has a titanium case and some pink gold detailing. These will be a very limited edition. There's also mention of the new Oceanus OCW-S1250TC and PRX-2000YT Protrek.

It's pretty interesting Casio is showing new models at Baselworld first actually. You might expect these at the Tokyo International Watch Fair. It seems that Casio not only wants to promote the higher end models internationally, but I suspect that these models also will be available in Europe.

It seems the last years that Europe was the forgotten market, since a lot of special models were released in Japan and the US, with sometimes one model of a series released in Europe. It would be great if the new MR-G models and Frogman will be available in Europe too.

There is a small downside with European releases. If you think these watches are expensive in Japan or the US, often the prices in Europe (available mainly in Germany) are pretty steep. If the new Frogman would cost $500.- in the US, expect a price around €500 - €600 range in Europe. Unfortunately we don't have JC Penney's.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

$500 for a frogman is just too much. Ahh i remember when Frogmans used to be dirt cheap.
