Shock The World Tour Hits Singapore

Posted the 30th day of January in 2010 by Riley.

The "Shock The World" G-Shock tour landed in Singapore yesterday. The event took place at the Velvet Underground club. There was music by DJ Horse Meat Disco and a handful of limited edition G-Shocks on display. This one seems to be a little different than other events in the tour. TraseUno was there and had this to say about the party:

I was at the G-Shock at the velvet underground 'party' earlier today. I dare say it was one of the worst event I had been to. no direction.. no speech.. average local performance.. no Emcee.. no hype.. No visual orgasm.. no info or updates whatsoever on The G's and juices. a whole week of anticipation wasted in 1 1/2 hours.

The only highlight was seeing the GA-100 Live. IT LOOKS CRAAAZY! The Singapore chapter of Limited Editions were not so impressive IMO. Yep. 2 small showcase displays of less than 10 Gs and that was it.

Update: TraseUno tells us that there was another part of the event that occurred in the afternoon that he missed, so Casio Singapore did have some more going on there than just the "boring" party.

Great pictures. Does anyone know of a source for those rectangular Casio watch display stands?

You can sometimes find Casio watch stands on eBay. Casio usually only gives them to dealers, and I don't know of a way to order them directly.
