A tech industry magazine in Japan has published an article on a new feature coming to an upcoming MR-G watch. This new G-Shock will feature artificial rubies created by Kyocera. The part is made by cutting out a ring with a diameter of about 3cm from a rough recrystallized ruby (4.85 carats, about 0.97g). This ring is inlayed around the dial of the watch. Look for this model to be released in the Summer of 2010. No word on price, but it's probably a lot.

I like it but theres something about it that screams out "buy me only if you don't value the other G-Shock line up"
