Casio has announced at BASELWORLD that the "Shock The World" tour will be hitting up a bunch of new cities in 2010. The new spots on the list are Amsterdam, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, LA, Milan, Moscow, New Delhi, NYC, Sao Paolo and Warsaw. This is great news for anyone that missed out on the first round. Baby-G is going along for the ride this time, and there should be plenty of new limited edition G-Shocks coming out at these events.

Casio to “Shock the World” Again with 2010 Promotional Tour
BASEL, March 18, 2010 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today that it would host “Shock the World” events around the globe again in 2010 to promote its G-Shock line of shock-resistant watches. The worldwide campaign was launched in 2009, and the 2010 tour is going even bigger:
(1) Events in more cities, focusing more attention on the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India, and China)
(2) Baby-G added as a featured brand at events
(3) Coordinated point-of-sale promotion campaigns
(4) Commemorative models released to celebrate the Shock the World Tour 2010.
Casio held the first Shock the World event in New York in 2008, looking to enhance the G-Shock brand image and convey the “toughness” these watches deliver. The event was a great success, leading to the Shock the World Tour 2009, which included events held in 20 cities in 12 countries worldwide from April 2009 to March 2010. The 2009 tour powerfully combined media events covering the G-Shock brand story together with parties featuring top athletes, hot musicians and other celebrities. People around the world encountered G-Shock history, including fascinating, little-known development stories about how the watch was born, and got the chance to party with some of their favorite celebrities. All in all, the Shock the World Tour 2009 captured the G-Shock image and put it on display for all to see, strengthening the G-Shock brand.
The Shock the World Tour 2010 will include events in 29 cities in 20 countries worldwide, a significant expansion. In addition to the places where events were held last year, new cities have been added for 2010, such as the trend-setting cities of Milan and Los Angeles, as well as locations in the BRICs like Sao Paulo, Moscow, and New Delhi. Also new in 2010, the Baby-G brand will be featured alongside G-Shock. Casio will also carry out coordinated point-of-sale promotion campaigns. For instance, shops will hold drawings where customers can win free Shock the World party tickets and exclusive merchandise. Commemorative watch models will also be released to celebrate the Shock the World Tour 2010.
Casio has designed the Shock the World Tour 2010 to bring home both the “cool” and the “toughness” of G-Shock to young people in a language they love — fashion, music, sports and art. No doubt—people around the world are getting caught up in the G-Shock sensation.
