Casio Japan has officially announced three new GXW-56 models. We saw previews of these at Baselworld and there's been some sneak previews of these new G-Shocks, but now they are for real and coming soon. There's a new black and gold GXW-56-1B that's never been seen before. All three will be released in Japan on July 31st. The retail price is about $312 USD and Casio will be manufacturing 2,500 units of each a month. These big and chunky watches feature Multiband 6 atomic sync and Tough Solar charging. It would be nice if they were a little cheaper, but the non-atomic GX-56 models might be a good alternative.

That gold tone model looks great. My favorite id the red/orange version. It just looks great. I had to swallow a bit when I saw the price… That's pretty expensive, even for a Waveceptor model (which is a plus).
Maybe there is going to be a GX-56 model too, for more fun for less money.

That's right lukipedia, the export GX-56s are non-atomic and should be a little cheaper.

Riley, any idea if these will come Stateside? Or, if not, what the best sources for the GX-56 (non-atomic) would be (since Seiya-san and Higuchi-san will be selling the GXW-56 model)?

Cant wait to get my hands one one of these. But will wait until I find a good deal in Japan for one. $312 is a bit much. Perhaps if I am lucky can find it at around $200 or so.
Problem is I do not know which color to pick, but it is leaning towards the orange one atm.
But I like all of them!

Only the non-atomic GX56 versions have been released in the US. You can order these from Japan though.
will it ever come to the u.s. because im about to buy a non atomic one, and i dont want to get the non atomic one and then the atomic one comes to u.s. soon
