Three new "Gravity Defier" G-Shocks are going to be coming out soon. These aviator watches are basically non-atomic versions of the GW-3000. These three G-1200 models feature a new 5132 module with Tough Solar charging. There's no word yet on pricing and availability, so stay tuned for more details.

Ah, That explains. I had seen announcements about the Gravity Defier several times the past days, so I thought it was an the Sky Cockpit in another commercial zone with a different name, but, although the same look, we are talking a different watch here. I don't get the point of the G-1200 number. G-3000 would be more logical (or is it already used). It doesn't look like the GW-1200 Cockpit style (there is a typo in your subscript, Riley :-)).
Cheers,
Sjors
Thanks for the correction Sjors. These new model numbers are an odd choice.
Hi Riley & Sjors,
Yes, What Sjors mention is true. It suppose to be called as G-3000. But if your refer Casio G-1000 series models, the last G-1X00 is the first Gravity Defier Series, G-1100 (B/BD). As coding continuation, Casio put it for this non atomic Skycockpit as G-1200, to market it worldwide. The only features that has been left beside atomic timekeeping is Tough Mvt. movement, whilst still preserve the Tough Solar & Home Position Adjustment which found in release GA-100 & GA-110B series.
Price and availability already have it on Ebay Malaysia, with USD 215.00 for resin model, USD 299 for Ion Blue Plating Model & finally, USD 249.00 for Stainless Steel model.
cheers,

Thanks for the update yschow.
Normally I do not think that atomic is very important but with certain models I think atomic is essential and the GW-3000 is definetly one of them, being a pilots watch and all. After all what is this model without atomic sync and Tough MVT?
Much of its soul have been taken out.
Therefor I do not like these new non atomic versions.
