Sjors has a new 50Gs post on the the hazard orange GXW-56-4JF. This atomic version of "The King of G-Shock" is only available in Japan right now. It's one giant G-Shock. This is the largest one ever. The non-atomic GX-56 version will be getting a wide release and will be available any day now. Take a look and see what you think about this watch,.

To read the numbers, it seems like a very large watch, but I thought the same about the 7900's until I got my -3 model. It doesn't seem as big as I thought it would. I really like that they kept the same basic functionality of the classic 5600s. The gel doesn't really seem necessary to me, since G Shocks are already so shock resistant. It's a cool addition and a neat marketing gimmick, but I'd bet it could have been left out and brought the price down a bit.
