A new G-Shock magazine/book (aka Mook) has been released in Japan. The cover features the upcoming "Jason" G-001 and the new GXW-56 King G-Shock. There's been a long history of these types of publications in Japan. All the text is in Japanese, but there's usually lots of reference material and photos that can be useful for someone obsessed with G-Shocks. There's no easy way to order one right now, but these usually show up on eBay.

Thanks Fumi and Sjors.

Hi Riley,
I just stumbled upon this photo on Osa's weblog:
It is interesting to see that this mook about luxury watches pays attention to the new G-001 Jason, amongst the Grand Seiko, Rolex, Tag Heuer, Omega and Breitling.
Cheers,
Sjors

Nice find Sjors.
Hi Riley,
Actually it is not a mook but an insert in the mook 'Best Super Goods Series'. The isbn for the mook is 978-4-584-22189-1. It should be available from your friendly Japanese bookshop.
Regards,
Ivan
Thanks for the information TheHobbit.
Hopefully we'll see more of this.
I have yet to find this one at my local Japanese bookstore. Unfortunately, given the pathetic yen rate, I won't be buying one.
In fact these books get published once or twice every year, so it'll be hard to keep up with that.
