£5 in a boot sale. Best buy ever? Or just about right? Real/Fake please confirm!

  1. It looks good to me... But I have no idea. Please help!

It has a "casio" written on the front and the back. On the back the "casio" is at the top, and then curving round the circle of the watch back next to it "3709" in a little rectangular box, and then not in a box, "G-7900".

Then it reads "ST.STEEL BACK MADE IN THAILAND Y WATER RESIST 3BAR. Inside the circle in the middle is a stylised G, with "SHOCK RESIST" in a pointy box underneath it, and "SHOCK ABSORBING SYSTEM" underneath. It's UV pink and white. The main thing that would make me think immediately it wasn't real, or was damaged somehow, would be that when I go to the stopwatch function, pressing "split/reset" starts and stops the stopwatch, and pressing "start/stop" resets the stopwatch..

Also, if this is real, can anyone direct me to the manual? What is that little circle bit supposed to be? The phases of the moon?

For £5 in a boot sale, I don't mind much if it's fake! I just want to know if I've accidentally hit a massive windfall. Thanks everyone!

    It's a fake.

See my post here for more details on these:http://mygshock.com/2008/01/15/how-to-spot-a-fake-g-shock/

There are a lot of 7900 models fakes floating around that are little tough to spot.
