DW-5600C-1V

  1. I recently brought a brand new DW-5600C-1V directly from Casio and I have a few questions I was hoping some of you could answer for me.

I read an article about this model on another website which identified the subtle differences with this model watch eg. the case backs. It turns out that mine appears to be one of the rare models but as im no expert i'd appreciate feedback from anybody on this forum.

The case back on my watch appears quite different to many I have seen on the internet. There are fewer words engraved on mine and its also minus the word 'Japan". Also, it has a green LED back light which according to this article said that this color light is usually found on the 9V model.

The link to the article is below. My watch is the module 901 Japan H circleback type 3.

What I'd like to know is if my watch is indeed rare and what its value might be.

    Thanks

Do you have some good photos of your watch?

Does it have the original resin parts in good condition? Any scratches on the crystal?

It's hard to pin down the value of these old ones, but first you want to make sure exactly what model number it is.

  3. Thanks for the reply. Its a brand new watch with 1yr warranty from Casio. No scratches, nothing. It didnt come in the original box but has the user manual.

I have photos but is there an easy way of uploading to this website?

They stopped making these in the early 90's, so if it's in mint condition then that's really good. It could possible be worth anywhere in the $300-500 range. I think it would be worth more if it was stamped "Japan A".
