Is this Right? please help.

    Hello!! Totally new to G shock and 1st post on here.
    Anyone tell me if this is right? I've just bought a G7900. Love the watch!

    When I set the auto illuminate function by pushing the split/reset button and holding the watch to 45 degrees the function kicks in and works fine. I take my watch off, go to bed and then evry morning put the watch back on and the function has stopped working so I have to set it again?
    Is this normal to have to reset the auto illuminate feature every day?
    Or do I have a fault?
    Any help would be great cause I've only had it a week and will be able to send it back if it's faulty.

    That sounds odd. It should keep the setting. I don't ever use it, but it should say in the manual. The only thing I can think of is that it might turn off as a power saving feature.

    Yeah that was my initial thought but just wasn't sure. I've not fully read up on it yet cause I was pretty exited to get it on and am never one for manuals.Thanks for your input though. anything appreciated
