MTG-930DU - What's the dial for?

    Hi Everyone,
    I've just bought an MTG-930DU-8VER watch and am very pleased with it, but I'm a little confused. There are three round dials on the watch - the centre one tells the battery charge and the right hand one shows which alarms/features are set. But the larger one on the left hand side - what's that for? The segments fill then empty, then fill again, and I can't find any reference to this dial in the manual.

    It's just counts off the seconds. It doesn't really have a function. Lots of G-Shocks have this. It's basically eye candy.
