Removing the backlight button

  1. I finished removing all paints of the bezel and want to use the goof off for the backlight button. How do I remove the backlight button without breaking any componants. When I took of the bezel it was movable, but I didn't want to apply pressure and pull outt the button.

I've never removed it myself, but others have done it without any issues. Just be careful.

Here's what Sjors has to say about it:

If you want to remove the light button, you need to open the watch and remove the module. Don't lose the spring. Now you will see the 5 buttons. They are attached with "circlips" (that's what I think they are called). If you carefully remove it from the button-stick, you can take it out on the other side. I personally can't really recommend doing this, because it's very (very very very...) hard to get these tiny circlips back on the button-stick!
