Watch resetting itself.

    I live in the UK and bought a G Shock mini from Japan for a Xmas present. After I set the watch to the correct time, a few hours later it will reset itself to 12:00 with the date of 1.1.00. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

    It sounds like a defect or something shorting out. If it's brand new then something's definitely not right with it. You could try opening it up yourself and take a look for any obvious problems. But you're probably better trying to get warranty service. You'll probably have to send it Casio in Japan if the local service center won't take it.

    Also, see if the seller will be of any help exchanging it.

    That's too bad that you got a bad one. I don't hear of this happebing too often.

    Thanks. Sent the watch off to Japan. Will let you know what was wrong with it when I find out.

    It's too bad you had the problem to begin with, but it's good to hear that Casio was able to easily resolve it for you.
