Casio's Basel World 2012 Digital Catalog

Casio has published a digital version of their new Basel World 2012 catalog online. You can check out some of the new G-Shocks along with Edifice, Pro Trek, Baby-G and other Casio watches. There's a good bit of high qulaity images and details to look through. Give it a look and see if there's anything interesting that you missed from the show.

Khaki Green GXW-56KG-3JF King G-Shock

Sjors is back this week with an article covering the new Khaki Green GXW-56KG-3JF G-Shock. This big King G-Shock is part of the new military green collection released in Japan. It's a Multiband 6 model with atomic clock sync. There is also a non-atomic GX56KG export version that can be found for cheaper in some markets. Both of these are giant monster of watches and the military theme is sure to be a favorite for those into the style. Check out the full details and make your own decision.

Friday the 13th: Jason G-001-9 G-Shock

For a special Friday the 13tth treat Sjors has posted a feature on the Jason G-001-9 G-Shock. This model was released in 2010 and is basically a reissue of the classic Jason G-Shocks from the '90s. The hockey mask looking front face plate is what earned these watches the unofficial nickname back in the day. Take a look at the G-Shock, and keep your eyes out for anything unusual today.

New G-Shock Magazine

A new 2012 G-Shock magazine has turned up online. This new 2012 magazine/book (aka mook) features photos of a G-Shock factory's inside workings. There's also some images of the new DW-6300B-2 Frogman and presumably a lot more. Check out the photos below for a small preview. You will probably have to order one of these from Japan, if you would like to buy one. There doesn't seem to be many English language publications released anywhere.

Red GB-6900-4JF Bluetooth G-Shock on 50Gs

This week Sjors is covering the GB-6900 Bluetooth G-Shock over on 50Gs. This watch is part of the new series that Casio just released in Japan. You can currently choose between the black, white and red versions. These are the most advance G-Shock released to date as far as technology goes. We will have to wait and see how popular and useful this new Bluetooth feature is in real life. Check it out, and see if it would work for you.

April 2012 New G-Shock Releases

G-Shock GW-A1000 and GW-A1000D Pilot Watches Coming Soon

Casio Japan has officially announced two new pilot watches for release on July 31st. These G-Shocks both feature Tough Solar charging and Multiband 6 atomic sync technology inside a brand new aviator watch package. The high contrast white accents on matte black design makes for a sharp look. We will probably see cheaper non-atomic export versions in coming months. The GW-A1000 has a retail price of about $656 USD and the GW-A1000D will be priced a bit more at $826 USD. Stay tuned for more news as it develops.
